Google tracking question.

I am not a PHPer so...

This is a question for the PHP people.

Is there any reason that for google tracking you cannot/should not simply create a component, say called "google tracking".
And the add the google tracking code to the new component and drop the component onto the template page?

Would this cause any problems?

This would be easier than using a plugin no?

I made a plugin just for that! (shameless self promotion i know lol)

Essentially you install the plugin into the /plugin/ folder and then you go to the 'settings' page and enter in your google number (should be something like UA-494949)

Then it will simply insert the code into the page of your page just before the </body> tag (which is the best place for it to be)
