Simple Image Gallery Plugin (Square It)
miitch Wrote:Hi all my first post here Smile

I have used your image plugin for a project of mine.
And i had to translate it to dutch for my client.
I've added it as an attachment.

I could not upload a php file so i uploaded it as a text file.

Hopefully it's of use to someone.

Grtz,
Mitchel

Cool Thanks! I will try to create some repository or somthing, to store all the different language files.
Thanks for your contribution.

feature request - enable users to create their own markup for each gallery. I think this would solve alot of custom design issues, including using the gallery as a js homepage slider (with no thumbs). Thoughts?

I've been playing with the idea, but have not reached a point that seems easy enough for a regular user to understand it. Right now I do have the plugin system, that I hope more advanced developers will be able to extend and create different plugins that will display galleries in many different ways.

Thanks for the input and I will deff keep it in mind.

I ended up modifying the image gallery to use Lytebox for picture popups. This gives you the option of setting up a colour scheme for the background/border, the use of the next and previous buttons for grouped images, and the use of alt tags for picture popup titles.
You can see it here:

I've added 2 grouped galleries as an example.
It was very easy to implement and although it may not be quite as " fancy ", it works well and loads quickly and a good option for image galleries :-)

One rather serious issue with gallery I tend to have a lot of images and galleries with my sites.
When i create a gallery and have links or text names to images in gallery and after complete if I add or change or delete a single image TITLE then ALL the titles MOVE and names are then wrong for the images remaining.

This drives me insane as then takes a LOT of time to AGAIN copy and paste the text again to the correct positions under images.

Hope I am clear if not your welcome to PM me and I can show you in a real site a before and after etc. along with access to try for your self.

Thanks for a great tool I would be lost without your galley!
