Moving pages
#1
When you move a page, it does not forward requests to the old URL to the new page location, does it? Example: you've renamed a slug, or made a page the child of a different page.

I thought it happened once. But now I think I was just a touch delusional. It's when I was first experimenting and developing my first site with GetSimple CMS.

No, GS doesn't redirect changed slugs. Just like WordPress and most CMSes.

However it wouldn't be difficult to make a plugin that saves slug changes and does the redirects...

In the meantime you could use one of the redirect plugins available, but you have to specify the redirections manually.

Parent change is another thing. A workaround is enabling canonical redirects via gsconfig, but this has problems with several plugins that use parameters in URLs (news/blog/items managers, etc.)

afaik, the only thing we do is update a childs parent if said parent is deleted or its slug changed.
