apache mod_rewrite gone missing?
#1
Experienced ten minutes confusion this morning with a fresh install of wampserver (Apache/2.4.4 (Win32) PHP/5.4.16) and a fresh install of GetSimple which showed a warning for missing apache module 'mod_rewrite'

Couldn't find mod_rewrite anywhere until I saw it listed as 'rewrite_module'. Don't know if it changed its name or when, but that's what it is.

Tim, did you have to make any changes to a standard GS install for this Apache version (.htaccess directives?)? There are questions in the 'Installation and Setup' section.

No, it was just that I thought at the time that a new version either of wampserver or apache had turned off the rewrite thing and possibly renamed it too but if I couldn't remember then I certainly can't remember now.
