How do I change the text that shows up in the web browser tab? "Welcome to ABC.."

When I go to our home page it has the wrong name listed in the browser tab Welcome to ABC Company. The name is correct on the rest of the pages but not on the home page.

The html title? it is defined in the page template in the theme. Most themes use a combination of site name and page title, but you can write it in as fixed text or you can use the Custom title plugin or you can use a component.

How do I find the default template? I have a home_template but no page template

Under the Pages tab in the back end, select your page, click Page Options and there is the box for selecting which template the page uses. The template itself is editable under the Theme tab but either back up first or retrieve it by ftp to edit it.
