Pages wont show
#1
I've used GS on about 5 websites so far and as well as my current site. But last week I needed to get a new host. So I got a new host and added my client’s domains to it and setup the site again. Everything worked fine and is good.

But last night when I tried to get my site switched over I now cant view any pages. I checked and made sure my /data and /backup folders are 777, and I can edit the content on the homepage. But when I try to make a new page it makes it but won’t let me go to it. I’m guessing something up with my host, but why do my other sites work that are hosted on the same host.

Anyone got any ideas?

Disable Fancy URL's and see if it works.
Clients always want to be able to change the content of their pages, but they are unwilling to do so.

Have you ever coded in your underwear before?

it has something to do with mod_rewrite i think because like internet54 asked about - Fancy URLS are the culprit

Thanks for the reply.

I tested it and when I turned off the Fancy URL's it works fine, like you said. But what I don't get is that I have two other GS websites hosted on this host and they work with Fancy URL's. It seems that the issue is something to do with hosting it in the root of my host. Any other thoughts?

You can clearly see that the Fancy URL's work with the sites above.

When there are Fancy URL problems and the host obvisouly supports mod_rewrite it often means something is wrong with your .htaccess file in the root. Have you check it?
