Function page_type() ??? - Wiki error?

In the GetSimple WIKI section, on the Plugins: tabs & menus page (at the bottom), it is said:

Now we can register the plugin with page_type() function call in place of page type parameter:

However, when I tried this, I got a 'white screen of death' and after doing a text search over the entire GetSimple directory in both GS 3.3.3 & 3.3.4 I got no match preceded by a function keyword...

Is this a documentation error?

I think so I have never seen any functionality like this
