PROBLEM Invalid "Upgrade Check Failed" alert
#1
hi

brand new GS install:
my admin panel says

Quote:GetSimple Version 3.3.13

Upgrade Check Failed !

this does not make sense, as 3.3.13 IS the latest version.

how to fix?

thx

It says the check failed, makes perfect sense.

Sometimes it fails to check for updates, it will probably work when the cache expires or you clear it.

still getting the error.
cannot find debuglog.

If it annoys you I think you can turn off the version check in gsconfig.php

It could be blocked on your host.. it uses curl and fals back to fopel, there is a thead with detailed debugging of the api calls.
Or just ignore it...

strangely, it does not always show the alert.

also, the Updater plugin indicates an upgrade.
also shows Send Anonymous Data failed.

I had this message too, after updating from 3.3.8.
Flushing all caches removed it.
