Most Useful News Plug in
#1
I've used all of the GS News plug ins, but haven't been very successful with them yet.

Anyone happy with one of them more than the others?

Thanks.

I am looking for a side project, if you will tell me exactly what you want I will see what I can do! I need details, like where you want it implemented, what are the fields you would like, and what admin features you would like.

Thanks gentlemen.

First, I should say that there are two news scripts that I have used that are awesome and I wish I had the skills to combine their features and implement them as a Get Simple plug in:

Winged Info - PHP News System
http://winged.info/p/projects/news

News Office
http://newsoffice.newanz.com/?page=home

Their combined features would be approach the ultimate news plug in.

• Write, save, edit, publish, unpublish and delete news
• Comments
• Latest News Headlines feature
• Admin Upload Images To News
• Posts can be filed under multiple categories.
• Custom publishing date.
• Automatically generated archives & RSS feed.
• Time zone and locale adjustment.
• Comment-flood protection, word filter, IP blocking.
• Allow/disallow comments per post.
• Search-engine friendly URLs.
• Customizable templates.

Thanks.

Homer

I really liked nSys. I just got lost with some details and I was waiting for RSS & headlines.

I'll check it out again.
