Restore a site to default
#1
Hi there,

i'm using GS as a time table for several meeting rooms.

I defined a table as a template for our reception employes.
It works fine, but sometimes they are deleting the whole table and not the content of the table.

Maybe the restore function will solve my problems.
Near the "save updates" button a button "clear table" would be great.
But how can i realize to clear and to fill source code with my default one?

So, if someone could help, it would be great!

thanks in advance

One way to do it better is that you make a page with a table, but the table spaces are controled by settings in plugin GS Custom Settings: http://get-simple.info/extend/plugin/gs-...tings/913/
You can set user permissions in such a way that reception employes can only alter the settings, not delete them:
http://get-simple.info/extend/plugin/multi-user/133/

I18N Special pages is maybe better for the purpose, but I don't have much experience with it:
http://get-simple.info/extend/plugin/i18...pages/319/ (pages with custom fields in it)

I suppose you want to publish and access your applications/websites from LAN; probably as virtual directories under the default website. The steps could vary depending on your IIS version, but basically it comes down to these steps:
Restore your "Default Website" Website :
create a new website
set "Default Website" as its name
In the Binding section (bottom panel), enter your local IP address in the "IP Address" edit.
Keep the "Host" edit empty
