Cached copy of page data

Right now a few plugins (menu, multilevel menu) and some pages I've written obtain page information by reading all of the page files.

I'd like to propose a patch to \admin\pages.php that creates and a pagelist.xml file in the data directory that contains all the data of the $pagesArray variable that can be accessed instead of iterating through all the pages.

Any comments/concerns with this? WOuld such a patch be welcome or considered
