hi,
is there an example to upgrade a template for a responsive layout by switching the .css-file?
I think, the "crux" or "filter" should be the transmitted screen-solution?
May be then calling the "responsive.css" for any lower one?

Not sure I understand this question. There is no single simple method to make an old css layout responsive.

It isn't really a GetSimple question. It's just css and not specific to the CMS. Years ago I converted the default GS theme to responsive by using the skeleton grid.

I wouldn't necessarily do it like that again but that's one way.
