ich weiß nicht, ob sich das schon mal jemand gefragt hat und es ist ja vielleicht auch nicht wirlich wichtig. In den Tempate-Tags tauchen sowohl "page slug", als auch "component slug" auf. Was bedeutet der Begriff "Slug" eigentlich genau? Slug heißt Nacktschnecke, aber dieser Salatfreund hat wahrscheinlich nicht sehr viel mit PHP zu tun. Die gute alte Tante Google war leider auch nicht sehr hilfsbereit.

Es ist laut dict.cc auch eine Masseneinheit des Britischen Maßsystems (1 kg = 0.06852 slug), aber das wird es wohl auch nicht sein. Ansonsten bedeutet slug umgangssprachlich auch Kugel im Sinne von Pistolenkugel-
