hmmm... what are you trying to do with setlocale? Is it used to change the name of the month/etc. to be in the language you are looking for it to be in? (being American, I am not really sure what setlocale is really used for)

But it would be nice to get some more explanation about OP's problem. btw. I've posted a problem with date in dev section.
