uploading mp3 issue

I've tried uploading mp3 files, no where near the max size of 128 MB, last one was 9 MB. It seems to complete upload, doesn't display errors.... yet it does not appear in the folder I requested nor anywhere else under the file management. Tried several times now. Please advise. Our site is highly music oriented.
