Link to File?! How?

Hi Folks,

I am able to upload files with the usual upload mechanism in the Files tab in the admin view. But now I want to be able to provide the files which are uploaded to the site as download from a page.
(With a download Link)

When I write a new page, I can create a Link, but it lets me only link to a page not to a file.

Is that possible?

If yes, how?

CKEditor -

1. Select the text or image you want to make a link from
   
2. click on the link button (like chain links) to open the link properties
   
3. In Link Type dropdown choose URL
   
4. Click on Browse Server
   
5. Select the file you want to link to
   
6. Make any other selections like 'New Window' or ID
