Russian Subforum?

We have quite a lot of russian-speaking members and as we recently opened a sub-forum for german-speaking members we now want to know about the need for a russian-language-subforum as well.

Имеется большое число русскоязычных членов в этом форуме И так же как мы обставили как раз немецкоязычный форум, если бы мы хотели теперь знать, состоит ли требование(спрос) в русско-язычном форуме.


So please tell us:
Пожалуйста, отвечает на эти 2 вопроса:

• Is there a need for a russian-language-forum?
  Употребляется ли русско-язычный форум?
  
• Who volunteers to moderate that forum?
  Кто объявляет о своей готовности вести этот форум?
  

Если извиняет, пожалуйста, мой плохой русский язык, я могу лучше читать и говорить, но не пишут. Поэтому я использовал PROMT переведенным ;=)

I vote against. People who post in a german subforum can expect answers only from german-speaking members and they're limiting themselves in number of answers only because they're too lazy to write in english or use translation software/service. Even if they get an answer it doesn't really helpful for other users because of the language barrier. There are some more minor downsides, simply look at the communities of other popular content management systems (EE, WP), most of them use only english language.

Russia has a forum, but it is very few people walk because of serious developers on the forum and no one there to answer questions. So keep coming back to the original forum. For example, I know html and css, but do not understand php. and Google helps with translations ... though not always well

Русскоязычный форум есть, автор предыдущего поста указал на него. Поэтому не вижу необходимости его дублирования здесь. Уверен, что почти все пользователи смогут найти ответы на англоязычном основном форуме. Можно использовать переводчик Google или знание английского полученное в средней школе.

I'm a newbie here, just have been surfing the site to check out what GS is about :-)
As far as I know there isn't any Russian-speaking GS guru :-(( and anyone ends up asking a question in English or German
German is difficult for me, they have too many long words :-)
So I guess I'll stick to English-speaking forum

root and Oleg do have a point. Despite 60 people on get-simple.de voting for a German sub-forum, there's only very few numbers actually posting here. Same as you Oleg, I don't know PHP much either, so we're depending on, say, mvlcek posting in the German forum for that. Which cannot really be expected of anybody if the main action takes place in the English forums.

Полностью с тобой согласен, те, кто не знает английского не будут искать англоязычные форумы, тем более есть дубляж

as long as there is no russian subforum (which will not be, regarding the answers here), please do post in english or in both languages ;=)
