I am having problems with pages deleting. The pages "behave" like they are deleting as in I get a message saying "pagename has been deleted" but then when I go in and out of the view all pages section, the deleted pages return.
I have tried deleting pages from within the view all pages list, and in the edit page area.
The site is on a windows server and I am using the nested menu's plug in.
any tips would be great. even if its deleting the pages manually via FTP & a text editor for now.

Hello, welcome here!
First as usual some questions:
1) is this a single-user (default-) installation or is it a multi-user-installation (plugin)?
2) please tell us the result of the server health check ;=)
you will find that in the administration / support
Cheers, Connie

are you able to "edit" the pages? Are you able to create new ones?

Thanks for the replies.
Yes this is a single user installation.
Yes I can edit and add pages totally fine.
So the pages that I do not require have been turned off so they do not show in the navigation so it's not the worst thing, but would like to know if I can fix this for the future.
Just quickly, how do I run the "health check", I'll do that and post my results.
Thanks

ISS.
Also this problem is not just pages, its deleting any asset (pages or files).
I have been able to login via FTP and delete stuff manually for now.

unfortunately GS and specifically the delete file functions using "unlinK" will not function correctly
under IIS, due to a read-only flag which is read incorrectly.
I'll see if we can find a workaround.. that won't imapct anything
Ideally you should be running apache on windows if possible...

Great, thanks for the info.
Unfortunately for me the hosting for this job is out of my hands.
But you've provided me with enough info so I can explain this to the client.
Thanks again for your help, and well done with such a simple and intuitive product.

@mike (noodles)
could you please add this to the WIKI?
I did not find information on this there and it would be good to have a competent description of this problem in the documentation
would be great,
cheers, Connie

I didn't know about this either until I investigated this problem..
Will update the wiki when i get a chance.
We should probably change the requirements aswell to state it will run on apache with Windows.

Yes I'd already seen this. I'll ry and get IIS stared up again on a server and test it out.
We'll need to change wherever a delete is done.

I am having a similar problem as the OP so thought to add to this thread. I am able to create AND edit pages, but cannot delete any of the pages!
