QUESTION A per page TOC container like in Wikipedia articles?
#1
Hi,

is there an easy way to get a on-page navigation with clean URL's like in Wikipedia?

What I mean is the container at the beginning of larger Wikipedia articles, like in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GetSimple_CMS

Automatically generated from the headlines text? Like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GetSimple_CMS#Description
(the word Description from id="Description").

I have a plugin that does this, but it has not been updated in some time.

Hm! I'm sure I formerly tried that plugin... but I cannot remember why I did not keep it.

I will try it again. What is the title information good foor? I thought I just need the ID's and the content of the heading.

One more question: Why does it make a /#heading (the slash)?

( I created this 4 years ago )

I do not remember, probably for hover or some other things that use it, in case its a blank anchor i guess.

Do not know what you mean by /#?

A TOC might best be done in Javascript as you already have all the data you need. I found this which may help.
