How do i use it for swedish? can't get this thing to work....

hmmm... what are you trying to do with setlocale? Is it used to change the name of the month/etc. to be in the language you are looking for it to be in? (being American, I am not really sure what setlocale is really used for)

Should be used for date, and time purposes, char comparisons - at least those are the main things I remember.
But it would be nice to get some more explanation about OP's problem.
