Hello, I try to install GetSimple but there is a problem. After ftp-ing it to my server public_html directory, when I type
http://example.com I can see getsimple directory listed - ok. But when I type
http://example.com/getsimple a blank page is displayed.
After adding print("hello") to the first line of index.php the browser displays the text, so this is not a problem with bad directory name etc. But after deleting this line, again, nothing, only a blank page.
The "data" directory has permissions 755. What to do ??

If you will, please turn on debug mode and report back the errors that are generated.
If your not sure how to do this, search the forum. Zegnet had a great tutorial somewhere..

I uncommented the define('GSDEBUG', TRUE); line and there is still blank page - no errors. I checked my server apache error logs and there are many 200 codes, but 200 is an "OK" code.
I also renamed temp.htaccess to .htaccess an changed permissions to 711 for gsdebug.php (not sure if that's necessary) but still blank page.

I made additional tests and realized that the index.php script stops at line with:
include('admin/inc/common.php');
Currently permissions are as follows after ftp-ing: admin is 0755, inc is 0755, common.php was 0600, but I changed to 0644 and still nothing.

I installed GetSimple on WAMP server on my local computer and it's ok. Well, but I need to install it on the remote server and it won't even start. There must be a server-related problem on the remote server but I am not a PHP specialist and no idea what it can be. Generally Drupal is running there and other CMS without problems.
I changed permissions to 0777 for all GetSimple files and folders and now when starting the application there is an error: 500 internal server error. So 0777 for all does not do any good, I'll reverse it.
If someone has an idea what conditions (permissions or other) might have influence on this installation please let me know.
