htaccess quandry

hmph. I called hostgator and they assure me that mod_rewrite is enabled but no matter what I do I can't seem to get FURLS working at all. I have updated to the latest build.


Also, I need to make an interactive form on a page which is essentially a free evaluation for a law firm that will get emailed when its filled out.


How to?

This stuff is getting cooler by the minute. I can't believe how easy this stuff is to use.
