to run a cron job depends on your hosting configuration, whether you can setup cron jobs or not
it depends which Operating System is active: is it LINUX, is it WIN?
so as these operations are not part of Getsimple, I suggest you contact your hoster's support
they should be able to point you how to setup such a job or maybe they set it up for you
you know which data is important to have it "backuped":
/data/
/plugins/
/theme/
plus the language file in admin/lang if you use a language file

I just found by google, that there are even free cronjob-services around, see here for example:
