Thank you so much mvlcek it worked great, I had to make a few other changes to the theme but that was minor.

Here is an example. You will see a picture of a cap and the text has been push down the page

I tested using the whole Gallery and it pushes the text down the page the same amount space as it does with only the one picture.

The problem is the <div style="clear:both"></div> within the gallery, which pushes the content below the navigation. As you have already patched the plugin, you can either patch it some more or you can add the rule .boxed { float: left; } to your CSS (this is specific to your template).
