If you currently use jQuery on your website and you don't mind leaning on it for presenting image captions, something like the link below might be suitable. All you need to do is fill in the title field for images in the WYSIWYG editor and the CSS and JS from that link should sort you out.

Just click "Edit in JS Bin"to get the required CSS and JS.
