PROBLEM Captcha

Hello, I am trying to test out how this software works and I uploaded the packages he server. I went to the admin page and installed and that seemed to be successful but when I want to look at the page it takes me to another page. There I put in another user name and password and then press enter and it asked for a captcha code that I can't see. The images have question marks on them. Is there something I need to do to make the captcha to display properly?
