I had the same problem using old language file (for 2.02).
I assume that language file was changed a little bit for v2.03, thus it might not let to install GS.
I used us lang to install GS, and then switched to PL, but all interface labels disappeared.

I didn't have time to compare old and new language GS files, but I'm sure I'll have to edit old language file, or make a new translation from eng to PL :\
