Go to Pages:

You should see to Pages Listed to your left.

1) Welcome to GetSimple ( Home Page) ( This is now the default Index Page)
2) You said you created a page so what ever that page name is.

To the right of those you will see a # sign and an X

The # sign is to give pages order to pages 1-2-3-4
The X is to delete files or Pages

First go to the Welcome to Get Simple Page Clink the # sign and give it any number other that _ or 1

Then go to the Page you Created and change it to - 1 it now becomes the home Page or index page

Now go Back to Welcome to GetSimple and use the X sign and that will delete the demo page.
