The cache plugin works ok on my website using GS 3.3.16
Normally you don't need to hit this button.
Only if the content of a page(s) have been changed (edited)

As you have seen in my second screenshot I have 3 pages cached:
home - about - contact
And I have 3 pages not cached:
Parent page Content and it's 2 child pages Gallery and Sidebar.
Parent page Content has no content and is not added to the menu.
It only exists as a page holder for child pages.
These child pages with parent page content are also not added
to the menu. They only exist as content holders.
The cache plugin is intelligent enough to logically not cache
these pages as they are never actually visited.
a) Don't forget to Delete all cache files and temporary disable the cache plugin while making changes on your website
b) When finished making changes on your website: enable again the cache plugin
c) Did you visit your website pages a couple of times and then rechecked ?
d) How is your website pages menu setup. Are your pages added to the GS menu,
or did you create your own custom menu ?
This should point you in a direction to debug why your pages are not cached.
