As I figured out redirect with a target only works with javascript and the function to do a redirect is often blocked by default. Because it's a PopUp.
For now (or better I dont't no a PHP based solution) there is not a usable way to build a menue (with eg. a "_blank" target.). This feature would be a nice GS-Core extension.
So I integrated a redirect with the common targets like ("_blank","_self" etc.) but I think it will be less or more a reliable solution.
You can set a link from the inbuild link feature, if you mean this.
The Plugin is updated to 0.1a.
Can you explain "_redirect_new" a little bit more?
