cURL Not Installed Warning

Hi,

I have installed GetSimple today, locally on WAMP and under the Health Check page i see a warning "cURL Not Installed - Warning"

Assuming that the warning is related to Fancy URL, I have checked my Apache settings and the rewrite module is enabled.

Any suggestions/explanations?

Your problem is related to WAMP not to GS.
Edit php.ini in bin\php\ , and bin\Apache\ , and uncomment the line:
extension=php_curl.dll

LAMP instances (like xampp or wamp) provide basic configuration after installation.
You have to manually configure specific options, and enable certain libraries.
Basically curl is very popular addon, and provide support for data transfer over http, especially using forms.

You can simply compare how GS works with and w/o curl.
But on locally hosted LAMP server you won't even notice the difference

Especially when you don't use https nor gzip compression during data send.

Как сделать чтобы Урлы работали нормально? а то новости подключаешь или в сайдбар ставишь и все корявится..., новости тоже с проблемами устанавливаются(((

The above advice did not work, in fact it caused another problem. I tried uncommenting the line: [extension=php_curl.dll] in both PHP and Apache like you said, but just got an error warning (PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'c:wamp/bin/php/php5.4.3/ext/php_curl.dll' -The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe for more detail'). After replacing the ; comment marks I restarted everything - rebooted PC, WAMP2 and tried reinstalling GS. To no avail. Now the GS folder won't even show. Please help as it's got rather urgent now.
