Could anybody explain me how can I set the index page?
No matter what I do with admin/pages the default page is still the index page.

Generally the index page is the index page.
What are you trying to accomplish?

cybuch, could you please explain your question more?
1) do you want to have another content in the default page, the index page? Yes, after the installation, the default page / index page has content which you have to delete / overwrite with your own content
2) or do you want to have another page loaded in the browser when your website is opened in the browser?
maybe a page called default.html or index.htm, which does not belong to the GetSimple-pages?
If this is the case you can add rules to the .htaccess file to define the sequence of default files
so please tell us more precise what you need
Cheers, Connie

Hi!
yes, the greatest things are always the simplest tasks ;=)
Just overwrite the content and change the page title etc. and you are done!

Well I deleted the default index page instead of overwriting it and now the situation sucks even harder.
The default index page is deleted (from pages and backup section as well), but it's still set as the index page.
Any ideas? I think that's weird shit and should be fixed
//anyways I think that news manager plugin solves the problem

@Connie
I appreciate you help, but look what you've written:
Quote:which you have to delete / overwrite with your own content
So I've chosen first option ) ;

Quote:... has content which you have to delete / overwrite ...
to insist, I wrote about deleting / overwriting the
content, not the page
just to correct that, and to finish this post ;=)

It is better than you enter to admin: you
www.dominion/admin
User: you user
pass: you pass
Tab page > index. This is where you must change the content.
Regards.
