I quickly checked and it's a conflict of CSS with the template you are using.
I removed this:
<link href="http://www.urbanistan.de/getsimple/theme/canvass/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />
and the gallery worked fine, of course it removed all styling of your website, but maybe you can get support from the place you got the theme from.

I got it and I fixed it.
I downloaded the actual version of Fancybox (1.3.4) and as I did not want to edit your files, I just renamed them "back" to 1.3.1 and the problem is gone!

So I suggest for further versions to use fancybox 1.3.4

Have you tested GSG with GS3.0B ?

which isn't working, the same as thumbnails aren't being generated properly.

I'm not sure if it occurs only on localhost webserv.

I did a brief test and fixed a couple of things. Will try to replicate your problem and fix it if I find the problem.
Also, I'm working on the changing the code to adjust to the new feature of changing the admin folder to a different name. This will be included in the next version.

If you guys find more problems with GS3.0B then please let me know here so that I can fix them before GS3.0 goes live.

The file-manager is able to make sub-directories (in the newest beta at least), but GSgallery doesn't read from them (for what I know). Maybe you can ad the function where to look for images, or something, or also look in subfolders.

Look into the plugin folder an see if you the plugin folder is at least 755 also the data and thumbs directories. If they are 755 then try 777 as in some hosts 755 does not work

I'm in the process of doing final tweaks so that GSgallery works with the latest version of GetSimple. Will let you guys know when it's ready. Thanks for letting me know about this, and if you guys find more issues please let me know.

Alright guys. New version of GSgallery has been released that is meant to fix some issues with the current GS 3.0 beta.

IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE UPGRADING from 2.5.2:
Just make sure you copy the gallery files found in the root of the plugin directory and copy them over to
squareit-gallery/data/galleries

here is the change log:

v 2.5.3
- More compatability changes with GetSimple 3.0
- Rename of the GS admin folder is now supported
- Changed the path where the gallery xml files are stored.
- Improved health check, that lets user know when the directories do not have the correct permissions

I'm still working on the multi folder feature, this will probably will be released in the next major iteration. I will keep you guys posted on new changes.

It's a great plugin but i have a little problem.
I use the latest version of GSgallery and GetSimple.
When i upload a new image with the same name, the thumbnail in gallery has not updated, is this normal ?

Using Latest Get Simple 3.0B r398 fresh install, and GS Gallery 2.5.3.

I want to create a galley with images in a subfolder (mainly the reason we needed subfoolders).

Seems like GSGallery plugin is not aware of any subfolders.
If there are no images in the main upload directory, (only in some other subfolder) it says: "No images, can not create gallery"

Is this normal ? Will this be fixed in the future ?

If you read the previous posts, you will see that this was reported before and that I'm planning to address this as soon as possible. I can not give you a date, but i'm hoping within the next week. I will keep you guys posted on this.

I'm guessing this is expected right now, since there is no way to clean the thumbs. Unless you actually go to the folder and clear all the thumbs. I have a TODO in the code to implement this in the future as well. Hopefully I will get to it sooner than later.

@madvic I have fixed the issue and committed it to the google code repository. You can grab the trunk in the mean time, until I have more fixes in place for another release.

I installed your new Version 2.5.3 and I noticed that Apostrophes are not escaped in the title

I named that Panda "Connie's Panda" and I get "Connie\s Panda"

Please update the Fancybox plugin ;=)
