I wanted to a fluid to fixed CSS layout with a lot of content on my site, and I also wanted to start experimenting with implementation of the great jquery tools available out there. I think the site came out really well, and I might strip off the slimbox, twitter feed, menu, and see if it meets theming requirements.
I wanted to maximize the ability of components as content holders instead of utilizing PHP includes all over and I think now that it's all set up and done, it works amazingly well for minor tweaks or for configurability. I don't even need to use my IDE for any work on the site.
