Problem installing

hi, when I try loading the GetSimple directory on my server it just gives me this error message Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /www/customers/independentliving.co.uk/GetSimple/admin/inc/common.php on line 17

does anyone know what this means?

Usually means you are using PHP 4 and not PHP 5.x

GS only support 5.x
