Website archive invalid
#1
Firstly, Thank you for this great cms. I love this CMS and recommend this to everyone looking for a CMS.

I was trying out GetSimple 3.0 and created a website archive. But., after downloading this archive, I am unable to open it as I keep getting the following error:

Code:
warning:  filename too long--truncating.
error:  expected central file header signature not found (file #7)
Possible cause: file transfer error
note: didn't find end-of-central-dir signature at end of central dir.
Possible cause: file transfer error

Hi!

I did the same to test now, using GS 3B r415 and I could download the file

....eb1_html_urbanistan_getsimple415_backups_zip_2011-03-26-1649_archive.zip (I cut the name of the zip)

I also could expand all files so it seems not to be a general problem of the archive-function

so give us more details:

which browser
which kind of server (MS Server, Apache ...)
Which Operating System at your local computer in which version ...

without these data we can not try to find any solution ;=(

can you install a demo on your public server and test it out? I have a feeling its a limitation of your localhost for some reason b/c ive never seen that error before.

I tried on the production server and it works fine. So you are right, it must be some problem with my localhost.

Thanks for your prompt support.
