Laragon update for php8
#1
Fellow GS Developers and Laragon users,

For those of us who are developing on Laragon, they have fixed their problem with using php8.
Laragon has been upgraded to version 5.x and now we can successfully develop and test with php8
on a Laragon local server.

Here are some good links:
https://laragon.org/why-laragon/
https://laragon.org/download/
https://github.com/leokhoa/laragon/relea...mp.x86.exe  (full 5.0 32bit)
https://github.com/leokhoa/laragon/relea...rtable.zip (lite 5.0 32bit) this one is perfect for GS

How to add different php versions in Laragon you can find on many places

A note about some php8 sayings that are circulating:
With GS cms it is not necessary to use php8. In fact some plugins won't work with php8
It is safe to use php7 or even php5.6.x The GS cms is already blazing fast and won't be
any faster on php8. Also The GS cms will not be more secure on php8.

Websites have not been hacked because of php7 or php5.6.x it self, but only because of
sloppy coding, buggy plugins, backends, file managers, poor hosting, code injection, etc.
Here is a good read:

Note:
I want to share and add here uwamp as a second local server.
Uwamp is also a perfect choice to build and develop websites
with the GS cms.
