is the new page within this folder on your FTP site?

Code:
/data/pages/

Thank you for your reply. No the page does not appear in the data/pages folder. I can only see the seven pages I have created before encountering this problem. I can edit these pages and update them fine but all of a sudden I cannot create a fresh new page. I did a clean install an hour ago and still have the same problem. It is not a matter of server permissions because I tested the host server repeatedly and it came out fine.

a very stupid question:

how much free space is available at the server?

That didn't work either. I get the same error with an alternative account.

you could send my the URL, create a new user with all rights in the multi-user-administratoin and send me the login data by personal message so I can try ...

after that test you can delete that user again

Connie, did you ever find out what caused this problem? I'm experiencing the same with the site I'm building and would be very grateful for any advice you might be able to provide.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem on a local server (running on Linux Mint). When I try to create a new page within Getsimple, I receive the message:

Error: The requested page does not exist

The apache2 error log shows the following:

[Thu Oct 25 00:56:52.210931 2018] [:error] [pid 24167] [client 127.0.0.1:33548] PHP Warning:  chmod(): Operation not permitted in /home/user/websites/site/admin/template/style.php on line 65, referer: http://site/admin/pages.php?error=The+requested+page+does+not+exist

Any advice would be much appreciated. From what I can gather by searching for the PHP Warning message, it may have something to do with the local server user's permissions in my file system, but I'm no PHP expert so the supposed "fixes" do little more than confuse me.
