Check out this website

Remember, if you go to the "Theme" tab, there is an option in the sidebar called "Submit Sitemap".
Clicking on this will submit a sitemap to 4 search engines for you (including google).

i checked the generate sitemap option, returned this error:
Quote:Error: Your sitemap could not be generated
i already chmod 777 the admin and data folder and read like 50 articles about SEO and google results

i have another website using get-simple that is not showing at google too, but a wordpress one is just fine, so i know the problem here is with get-simple
is there anything else i can do?

@gugiserman - Google can't find your site if noone is linking to it:

A small little detail: you should enable fancy urls in the settings so that your links are SEF.
Todo arde si le aplicas la chispa adecuada.

Perhaps a health check: admin/health-check.php
Does anything look wrong?
Maybe your .htaccess has been borked or corrupted??
Do any errors come up when you enable debug mode in gsconfig?
Could there be an issue with your host?

Google needs some time to add your page to its index.... just wait a little or use the addurl service by google

you have no content at your site, just a menu with links to empty pages

Google indexes content, not menues ;=)

Meta has nothing to SEO nowadays. Get-Simple is very Google-friendly. Sometimes it's enough to generate sitemap.xml and pings are sent to search engines so you don't need to add it to Google manually.

To check out if your website is in index type:

Code:
site:www.domainname.com

in Google and you'll see which pages are indexed. There are problems with NewsManager and I18N Search generated lists of pages though. I wasn't able to get them indexed (perhaps priority in sitemap.xml is too low).

For fancy urls you have to get mod_rewrite on. So far I've found just one server where it wasn't working.

i'm aware of the mod_rewrite thing, and I already checked it, its on
my blog (in the same server) uses it and never had a problem

i really dont know what else i can do

it gets created now automatically each time you change a page/setting. You can turn on search engine submissions within the gsconfig.php file

I was checking that Google found my GS Site and noticed that although it was listed the Google preview wasn't working. That is when I get a list of Google results there is a double chevron by each one ( >>) which I can mouse over to get a thumbnail of the page. For my site it was blank white with 'Index of \ ' and some small text I couldn't read.

It's www.timwhittingham.com . Is there anything I can do about this?

The other thing is the little icon used on Firefox tabs and bookmarks. Where do I change that pleas?
