Question on how to transfer (convert) a website from another CMS to GS
#1
Is there a way to easily convert another website (either plain HTML or a db driven CMS) to GS without manually having to copy and recreate each page?

I thought there was a tool to extract content from a site, but I can't seem to find it.

I havent seen one before. I think there was once a PHP script that pulled data from a text or HTML file and created the page XML files, but that was a long time ago and i cant seem to find the link

each system has its own systematic and I do not know of any to convert content from one system to another except the "human system":

some things have to be done manually, and I tell you, that is quite useful because by doing this you can sort out unnecessary, outdated or superfluous content ;=)

(that is my experience)
