PROBLEM 404 as homepage

Problem:When I go to my website, my homepage is set to a 404 page instead of my index page. The message tells me "We are sorry, but the page you are looking for does not exist." My index page has content on it.

SOLVED: I had set the page to 'private' and therefore wasn't showing up

Interesting, I see how that could be confusing, i suppose we could prevent private indexes, but someone might want to do this on purpose.
