I understand your concern, and yes having to use a mySQL db is not very enjoyable... But I far as I know, there is no Forum plugin created, and I don't know any good php forum script easy to integrate.

I found these one : https://sourceforge.net/projects/php-forum-1/ and https://sourceforge.net/projects/tinyphpforum/

I have neither the need nor the skill to do anything with that...
