I have a problem.

If i want to change the content on my IPad or IPhone it wont work. I can change name page but i can not change the content only if the "use html editor" is set off.

Is this à problem that can be solved in the 3.0 version?

Yeah, the HTML editor doesn't work on iPad for some reason. I will add it to the issues list, but it probably won't get fixed in time for 3.0. Thanks

Mayby it is not the problem of GetSimple but the plugin that is used. It could make live more simple if it is possible. If you are running a website for a compagny, church or club and you are on the road or in a meeting you can change very fast the site.

Just a minor thing:

With debug mode enabled in r398, the 'Debug' button in the admin backend screen is a link to http://get-simple.info/theme-developer-tips, which returns a 404 error (Line 11 of admin/template/include-nav.php).

I imagine that the corresponding wiki page is http://get-simple.info/wiki/themes:tips but by now the admin already knows how to turn on debug mode. ;-)

Ok, added a couple of languages back to the core. Hopefully this list will make everyone happy as I really don't want to add anymore. If someone feels strongly that a language needs added, state your case, and also which language you would remove from the SVN.

According to http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/get-simple.info -> Get-simple.info’s Regional Traffic Ranks, download of polish translation file, couple websites posted here I've noticed on this forum, it seems that GS has a noticeable amount of polish users too.
But I have no idea how big is polish userbase on this forum, or true uu statistics.

Sorry if this is already menthioned before, but I think the following might be something of a bug:

When you are in CKeditor and want to add a hyperlink (internal or external) to an image, you need to go to the second tab in the image-window, but there you also get the chance to browse for an image. You actually should see the dialog you see when you click on the add-link button. See attachment of how I think it should look

I don't think Polish is that major. I think it should be Portuguese

Don't get me wrong, but I have completely no idea about nuances between Spanish, Portuguese, and Mexican, Argentinian, Brazilian versions, because I know at most couple words in Spanish :/

As I mentioned above, grabbing some statistics with a possibility to see them by users would be pretty nice.

As it always has. I am not adding the transliteration plugin into the core because I think a lot more testing needs to be done to see what happens with other languages, etc. if that's added by default

I will look in Google Analytics to see what the country breakdowns are... I am not sure why I didn't do this int he first place when I was looking into what languages to add.

Transliteration plugin led me into a problem, but I forgot to save some debug info and just disabled it.
I'll try to look a bit deeper into it, but translit. plug isn't bug free. Even Zegnåt mentioned it.
I think there may be problems with languages using UTF8 with bom encoding (French?).

Just reminded myself that special chars are being cut off from page title (if slug/url isn't set manually).

I just noticed this upgrade offer on the support page on GS 3.0b r408. I guess it's only temporary and will disappear with the final version, but in case it slipped through...

@Thorsten - its because you are running a Beta release. The thinking is that you shouldn't be running Beta anything - So upgrade to the latest Stable Version, which is 2.03.1.

So if you are running 3.0B when 3.0 is the latest stable version, then it's going to ask you to Upgrade.

Obviously you are running Beta to test out, but the system doesn't know you are testing...

I added a new page using polish special chars to see how GS will handle slug/URL creation, using only page title (didn't use page options).
Then looked into page options to see the slug/url, and GS just cut off all special chars from the title.
It transliterated only "ó" letter, which is the only polish letter residing in ASCII extended char table.


edit: btw. did you think about refreshing page using jscript during GS installation ? (I attached a short line of working jscript code to use)

I didn't realize this is what you were talking about. Yes, this is the way it's always worked - to make it work better and more accurate, we need to edit the to7bit() function in basic.php

CC: I'm now confused. If thumbsm. are generated as a preview in admin panel, and thumbnail. as the true thumbnail, then why I don't get automatically generated thumbnail. in /data/thumbs/ ?
I may only get it when I make a thumb manually by drawing a box on the img -> create thumbnail.

I still have problems with img thumbnail creation.
After reading all replies about it here's what I've found:
1. thumbnails for admin panel are created automatically, and their name is thumbsm.img_name
2. thumbnails for webpage - thumbnail.img_name - aren't created automatically, and need a manual approach.
3. if thumbnail won't be created manually, copying the code of link to img with a thumbnail, and pasting it in page source, won't show the thumbnail on webpage.

Conclusion: thumbnail.img_name should be created automatically, along with thumbsm.img_name
