Looking for User Plugin
#1
Hi! I'm new to GetSimple, but I think it looks great: It's simple for the client and simple for the developer.

My client wants to be able to manage users and require some pages of the website to require a login. Is there a plugin to do this? I'm thinking of developing it myself, but don't want to reinvent the wheel.

why don't you check the EXTEND, which is the plugin- and themes-repository?

You will find the multi-user-plugin there: http://get-simple.info/extend/plugin/multi-user/133/

Cheers, Connie

I've already looked in the Multi-User plugin, and it's only for the backend. I'm looking for a frontend user system.

Panthr,

is this thread about a front-end login system more like what you're looking for?

Cited from the introductory post:

Outline Of Plugin:
  • Users Can Register For An Account
  • Users Can Sign In And Logout
  • Pages Can Be Protected Via A Checkbox On Edit Page Screen
  • CSS For All Plugin Related Elements Can Be Edited Via Plugin Settings Page In Admin
  • Protected Page Message Can Be Edited Via WYSIWYG Editor In Plugins Settings Page - (The Protected Message is what shows up if the user is not logged in and is trying to view a protected page)

It's still in early, but active, development.

Are you looking for private pages basically that can be viewed my members only for example ?

Is there different levels of member groups also here or all in 1 group and all can view the members only pages ?
Stopped developing on GS Plugins. Anybody welcome to take the projects over. Thanks for all the support all.
