You should look for the relevant support thread of the plugin you modified or create a new thread in the plugin section. Please either use the forum search or look through the Extend section of the site where plugins are hosted, thanks.

Maybe the original developer will merge your modifications. We have a modified version of the News Manager here, it's up to you whether you want to merge your modifications or create a spin-off.

and about a google map key: since the new version of the API the registration and the key is not longer needed
