I lost my password, but how do I get in besides "forgot password"?

First I really forgot my password and clicked "forgot password" and it send me an email. But the problem is that I didn't receive an email! I checked in the admin.xml and the email-adress is correct. 

How can I solve this problem?

I tried but didn't help. I found this answer from you on a different topic: "ftp to it and change the password to a sha1 in side the users/user.xml file" but I can't find the user.xml anywhere. I only have admin.xml in a users folder.

Can you please explain?
