HAVING ISSUES ON GET-SIMPLE.INFO?
#26
The site is loading very very quickly for me no matter when or where I try to access it.
Version numbers, etc. are cached not only by the actual extend system, but also by CloudFlare now. CloudFlare empties cache every 4 hours as far as I know. I don't know how long the actual extend system caches, but let's pretend that's 4 hours - it turns into 8 hours cached.
The wiki might have been slow because I've been messing with it pretty much every day trying to get the CSRF error to go away.

Now i am getting a cloudflare spash screen no cache available, i have to click live button.
I wonder why is it not set to auto route to live ?

Anybody who is having issues:
Please open command prompt and type " tracert 74.50.118.100"
Please post results here, that would be very helpful in diagnosing the issue.
You should get something along the lines of this:
Quote:C:\Users\Michel>tracert 74.50.118.100

Tracing route to 74.50.118.100 over a maximum of 30 hops

What is the ETC on the forum issues?
  • incorrect time setting - all times are 7 hours off, even if I set the correct time zone in the profile
  • not-read marks are not removed when I read a post
  • links to users only work when logged out (!)

What is the ETC for fixing the wiki issues?
  • magic quotes must be switched off (according to preview error message)
  • saving is impossible because of CSRF error message

Anyone working on this?
The wrong times and the not-read marks are really annoying!

Instead of going to discussion I think you should contact wiki admin for your bug because He is only one who have authority to short out this issue.

That's what this thread is for, what are you talking about.

I adjusted the UTC setting in my profile to see the real time when logged, and now read marks seems to be working for me.

(In my case I should be using UTC+2, but UTC+8 makes it work for me.)

Things are still being worked on, yes.
Also the site is going to be moved to a different server soon, that I think will solve most of the issues.

Updates:
-Forum not marked read and wrong times issues seem to have been fixed.
-Wiki is being worked on...
-Get-Simple.info is on a California server now not a Florida server.

Thanks for your patience everybody!

Well, so far the forum has been migrated from PunBB to MyBB. I'm still working on styling it to look not blue and white, and I still need to work on Wiki and Extend now, but anyway, Hope y'all like MyBB a bit better, and if you notice any problems with MyBB if you could post them here that would be much appreciated.

If you were staff at the old site you may have wrong permissions and you should post here and I'll fix them. The only other issue I see at this point is the PMs disappeared. Oh well.

Personally I liked punBB's user interface much more - but maybe that's just styling:
  • The layout of posts with the author at the left made it much easier to scan a thread.
  • The post form is terrible - I don't need smilies and the editor buttons don't work (yet?)
^^ the styling of lists does not look right yet.
Functionality-wise it seems better - there is the long missed search-in-thread function.

And styling to make the post text more apparent, please. It's not always easy to tell where the header, post text and footer begin and end.

À propos footer, I understand that you want (and deserve) the backlinks, but your sig. is really annoying, especially where it's three times the length of the post text, with the same font size, weight and colour as the text I'm looking for. No offence intended.
